Rashmi Karthik is a high school sophomore and a writer for the NCJ.

A strong proponent of civic responsibility, Rashmi has competed in regional world affairs competitions, as well as being an active member of her community theatre. She is a member of her school's Model UN team, and the treasurer of its photography club.

In her role at the NCJ, Rashmi hopes to promote bipartisan news and help foster democracy through the freedom of the press.
