Mackenzie Mathieu is currently a high school junior and a writer for NCJ. 

She participates in her school’s speech and debate team along with model united nations. Mackenzie spends most of her time playing waterpolo for school and club or reading a good book. Outside of school she tutors other students and crochets stuffed animals for her friends. Mackenzie is curious about why politics has become so polarized recently and hopes to channel her interests into writing well informed articles.
