Breanna Crossman is a high school senior and is a writer and editor for NCJ.

She is passionate about sustainability, civic engagement, and literature. At her school, she is the Vice President of the Environmental Club and an active member of National Honor Society, Latin Honor Society, and Model UN.

Her hobbies include reading (her favorite authors are Kurt Vonnegut, Jane Austen, and Charles Dickens), baking, and watching movies (her favorites are Fantasia and anything by Hayao Miyazaki). She loves learning about history and mythology and runs an interdisciplinary literature and history blog, Spiritus Mundi. 

Through NCJ, she hopes to bring light to political issues facing the world and ease the polarization between political parties through presenting clear, relevant ideas. She believes that neutral news is essential to maintain transparency and trust in democracy, and that it is our duty as citizens to keep informed about political events.
